Just about 4 years ago I started thinking about designing clothes in Second Life (yes, my SL is a little older than Cherry looks). The FIFA World Cup 2006 (that’s football or soccer if you’re in the US) was on the horizon and the tshirts that I experimented with were my first foray into the exciting world of Second Life fashion. I didn’t actually sell any as I had no clue about setting up a store but it was a start. 4 years later DollyRock is still here and the 2010 World Cup is coming up in a few weeks. In a spirit of nostalgia I’ve made some more tshirts and I’m not going to sell any of these either, because they’re FREE! Yes, that’s right, THIRTY-TWO free tshirts, one for each country that will be starting out in the finals. Did you know that it’s become really really easy to use XStreet these days. It has been completely integrated into Second Life with no need for a separate account. If you haven’t used it for a while all you need to do is log in with your Second Life user name and password et voila, the balance of your inworld funds is available to spend in X Street. It’s made it much more accessible, they even have wish lists on there now.
